Coupling, Elastic D.P. type is a three-size family of flexible rubber shaft couplings from AMC Mecanocaucho used to isolate torsional vibration and shock between coupled rotating shafts. Each size (DP-2, DP-4, DP-6) comprises three separable components - an element, a hood, and a bushing - covering force capacities from 174 kg to 1,000 kg to suit a range of industrial drive applications.

Applications
Flexible coupling of coaxial rotating shafts in pumps, fans, compressors, gearboxes, and general industrial drives. The rubber element absorbs torsional shock and damps vibration transmitted between driving and driven machines, reducing noise and protecting connected components. Suitable across light to heavy industrial applications depending on size selected.
Frequently asked questions
Are the element, hood, and bushing ordered as a complete assembly?
No. For the DP type coupling, element, hood, and bushing are separate components with individual product codes. All three are required to form a complete coupling assembly for a given shaft arrangement.
How do I select the right DP size?
Selection is based on the force (torque) capacity required. DP-2 suits loads to 174 kg, DP-4 to 300 kg, and DP-6 to 1,000 kg. Consult AMC Mecanocaucho's technical datasheet for dimensional drawings and shaft bore sizing before specifying.
