Applications
The Dragon-KX12 I is suited to clubs, live events, touring setups, front-fill, DJ monitoring, and fixed architectural installations requiring high output in a compact, durable enclosure. The fixed waveguide can be rotated to adjust dispersion orientation. When deployed in an array, the speaker supports EBS (Electronic Beam Steering), enabling software-controlled directional shaping and precise coverage adjustment across vertical and horizontal axes. The IP54 rating and stainless steel construction support outdoor and high-humidity environments.
Standards and compliance
IP54 rated. CE certified. Designed and manufactured in Italy under K-Array quality control. Passive operation requires dedicated presets loaded onto K-Array amplifiers.
Frequently asked questions
How does the Mark I version differ from the standard Dragon-KX12?
The Mark I introduces a stainless steel chassis replacing the previous enclosure material, a more compact and lightweight form factor, and support for EBS (Electronic Beam Steering) technology that enables software-controlled directional adjustment when multiple units are deployed in an array.
Can the dispersion pattern be changed without tools?
The waveguide is fixed but can be rotated using screws, allowing the 40-degree vertical and 60-degree horizontal pattern to be reoriented to suit the installation geometry.
Does the KX12 I require a K-Array amplifier?
Yes. As a passive loudspeaker, achieving the rated 120 Hz to 18 kHz frequency response requires dedicated presets loaded onto a compatible K-Array amplifier. EBS array functionality also requires compatible K-Array network amplifiers.
