Applications
Suspension of false ceilings in commercial and residential buildings, isolation of vibrating pipelines, and suspension of mechanical plant and machinery requiring vibration attenuation. The range of Sylomer grades allows selection to match the specific static load of each installation. Suitable for both timber and concrete ceiling substrates.
Standards and compliance
CE and UKCA certified. Technical drawings, BIM files, and declaration of performance documentation are available from AMC Mecanocaucho.
Frequently asked questions
Why is Sylomer used instead of rubber or cork?
The microcellular polyurethane structure of Sylomer achieves higher isolation values than rubber or cork mounts at equivalent loads. AMC Mecanocaucho produces the Grand Akustik 1 in two Sylomer mixes to match the material stiffness to the specific load being suspended.
What is the difference between Type A and Type B?
Type A uses a male screw connection to attach to the ceiling profile, while Type B uses a female fixing. Both types are available with M6 or M8 threads depending on the model selected.
Can these hangers be used in damp or corrosive environments?
Yes. All metal components are supplied with an anticorrosive surface treatment rated for demanding environments.
