Height Adjuster – Hi Sec
The Height Adjuster Hi-Sec is a precision levelling device from AMC Mecanocaucho designed for use with rubber anti-vibration mounts on marine vessels and industrial machinery. It combines the marine-approved shim levelling method with a fine-adjustment threaded mechanism, allowing secure post-installation height correction without studs subjected to cyclic bending.

The Hi-Sec accommodates post-installation rubber creep (up to 25% of rated deflection) and allows precise re-levelling without disassembly. It replaces threaded-stud height adjusters, which DNV prohibits for marine levelling due to cyclic bending stress.

Why is the Hi-Sec preferred over standard threaded studs for marine use?
DNV rules prohibit threaded-stud levelling for marine mounts because cyclic bending moments cause fatigue failure. The Hi-Sec shim-based approach eliminates this stress path while retaining fine adjustability.
When should height be adjusted after installation?
Allow 48 hours for initial rubber creep (up to 25% of rated deflection), then use the Hi-Sec to re-level without disassembly.
