Isotop SE
Isotop SE is a sandwich vibration isolation element from Getzner Werkstoffe, designed for single-point and narrow base-frame equipment installations. The sandwich construction distributes load evenly across equipment with restricted footprint geometry, and multiple Sylomer or Sylodyn isolation layers achieve natural frequencies down to 5.7 Hz depending on the variant selected.
Specifications
- Natural frequency: from 5.7 Hz (SE-DE) to 10.8 Hz (SE light), depending on variant and load
- Isolation layers: one to three layers of Sylomer or Sylodyn
- Variants available: SE pro, SE light, SE-DE, SE-DE Elevator
- Load range: 63 kg to 3,480 kg depending on variant
- Overall height: 33 mm (SE light) to 149 mm (SE-DE)
- Thread: M12 internal thread (SE pro, SE-DE, SE-DE Elevator)
- Pressure plate surface treatment: electro-galvanised (SE pro, SE light) or hot-dip galvanised to DIN EN ISO 1461 (SE-DE variants)
- Anti-slip mat: 3 mm (SE light) or 4 mm (SE pro)
Applications
Isotop SE is used as a bearing element for equipment with narrow base frames requiring single-point installation. Typical installations include lift motors, HVAC systems, chillers, combined heat and power plants, industrial jacks, and presses. The SE-DE and SE-DE Elevator variants address double-elastic bearing and elevator machine-room applications where very low natural frequencies are required.
Standards and compliance
Hot-dip galvanised pressure plates on SE-DE variants comply with DIN EN ISO 1461.
Frequently asked questions
Which Isotop SE variant suits a lift motor installation?
The SE-DE Elevator variant is designed for elevator applications, with a load range of 150 kg to 3,480 kg and a natural frequency from 8.8 Hz. It includes a 60 mm settling mass and hot-dip galvanised plates.
What is the difference between SE pro and SE light?
SE pro has a 37.5 mm isolation layer, load range 90 to 2,050 kg, and natural frequency from 7.5 Hz. SE light uses a 25 mm Sylomer layer, load range 63 to 930 kg, and natural frequency from 10.8 Hz. SE light is suited to lighter equipment where a compact profile is needed.
Can the Isotop SE be used for recipient isolation?
Yes. The sandwich element is used for both source isolation (preventing machine vibration reaching the structure) and recipient isolation (protecting sensitive equipment from incoming structural vibration).
