Applications
The Kommander-KA208LIVE is designed for touring and live event production driving K-Array line array elements. Its SpeakON NL4 connectors and CA-COM inter-unit cabling match common touring audio standards, enabling rapid rigging and de-rigging. The amplifier suits concert touring, festival sound, and large live events where fast connection and high-power output are both required.
Frequently asked questions
What are the CA-COM connections used for?
CA-COM connections are K-Array proprietary inter-amplifier communication ports used to link multiple Kommander units for coordinated control and data sharing in multi-amplifier live sound rigs.
Is Dante included or does it require activation?
The KA208LIVE supports up to two Dante channels in via its Ethernet port, but activation requires a separately purchased DanteReady licence; it is not enabled by default.
How does the KA208LIVE differ from the standard KA208?
The KA208LIVE replaces the Phoenix PC speaker connectors with SpeakON NL4 outputs and adds CA-COM ports, matching touring industry connector standards while retaining the same 2,500 W per channel power and onboard DSP.
