Levelling – JT
Levelling JT is a rubber-metal levelling mount from AMC Mecanocaucho, designed for machinery that is not fixed to the floor. A built-in tilting system accommodates uneven or sloped surfaces, and a manual screw mechanism allows height adjustment after installation. The oil-resistant NBR elastomer body provides vibration isolation and noise reduction under light to moderate loads.
Specifications
- Elastomer material: oil-resistant Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (NBR)
- Shore hardness: 50, 60, or 75 Shore A depending on model
- Load capacity: 25 to 40 kg (light model) or 75 to 100 kg (standard models)
- Tilting system: accommodates uneven surfaces
- Height adjustment: manual screw with locknut to secure final position
- Model variants: three variants (models 144001, 150021, 144002)
Applications
JT mounts suit light to medium machinery that is free-standing rather than floor-fixed, including benchtop equipment, small production machines, and laboratory units. The NBR rubber resists oil and solvent exposure common in light industrial environments. The tilting system allows installation on floors that are not perfectly level without shimming.
Frequently asked questions
What does the tilting system do?
The tilting mechanism in the JT mount allows the top plate to compensate for minor surface irregularities, ensuring the machine sits level even on uneven floors, without requiring floor grinding or shims.
How is the mount secured once levelled?
After height adjustment by turning the central screw, a locknut (checknut) is tightened to fix the mount at the set height and prevent movement during machine operation.
Why is NBR specified rather than natural rubber?
NBR is an oil-resistant synthetic elastomer, making it suitable for environments where machine oil, cutting fluid, or solvent contact is likely, where natural rubber would degrade over time.
