Mesh Baffles Short Offset
Mesh Baffles Short Offset is a ceiling baffle system from Zintra that controls reverberation using 150 acoustically tuned polyester quills arranged in a short offset pattern, suspended from a powder-coated steel mesh. As the lightest configuration in the Mesh Baffles range, it suits commercial, hospitality, and education interiors where a sparser ceiling treatment or weight constraints apply.

Applications
Open-plan offices, restaurants, hotels, education facilities, and retail spaces where a lighter or more open ceiling treatment is preferred. At 17.5 kg per system and 150 quills, Short Offset is the lowest-density configuration in the Mesh Baffles range, providing acoustic coverage with a more open visual appearance. Suitable where ceiling load limits are a factor or where a subtler treatment complements an existing interior.
Standards and compliance
ASTM E84 Class A (flame spread). AS ISO 9705:2003 Group 1. EN 13501 B-s2-d0. Material is 100% recyclable.
Frequently asked questions
How does Short Offset differ from Long Offset?
Short Offset includes 150 quills (the fewest of any pattern) arranged in a compact offset formation, weighing 17.5 kg per system. Long Offset also uses 156 quills but arranges them in a more elongated layout at 18 kg. Both share the same quill dimensions, mesh size, and NRC range.
What hardware is required to hang the system?
The system is supplied with 6 Y-Hook Cable Hangers at 1520 mm standard length and 5 Wire Rope Clamps. These distribute weight across the interconnected mesh to minimise the number of ceiling anchor points required.
Can the Short Offset pattern be combined with denser patterns in the same space?
Yes. All Mesh Baffle patterns share the same 1200 mm x 2400 mm mesh footprint, so Short Offset systems can be installed alongside Offset, Herringbone, or other patterns to create varied density zones across a ceiling.
