Paviabsorber is a multi-layer airborne sound insulation material from AMC Mecanocaucho, designed for floor and cab applications in mobile equipment. It combines an antiskid surface mat, a closed-cell polyethylene foam layer, and an interleaved 5 kg/m2 viscoelastic heavy mass, providing effective airborne noise reduction in a single 15 mm panel.

The interleaved 5 kg/m2 viscoelastic mass layer significantly increases the total weight to 9 kg/m2, which is what delivers the 22 dB sound reduction performance. The added mass raises the panel's resistance to airborne sound transmission.
Is Paviabsorber suitable for floor use?
Yes. The antiskid mat facing is designed specifically for floor applications, providing slip resistance underfoot in cab environments. It is available with a self-adhesive backing for permanent installation.
What is the difference between standard and self-adhesive Paviabsorber?
The self-adhesive variant (suffix A) weighs 13 kg/m2 due to the adhesive layer, compared to 9 kg/m2 for the standard panel. Both versions provide the same 15 mm thickness and 22 dB Rw performance.
