Frequently asked questions
Can bleach be used on Pebbled Aire?
No. Unlike some other Baresque silicone hybrid fabrics, Pebbled Aire should not be cleaned with bleach-containing agents, as these may cause discolouration over time. Use warm water, mild liquid detergent, or isopropyl alcohol instead. Always test in an inconspicuous area first.
What does Healthier Hospitals compliant mean for this fabric?
Healthier Hospitals compliance means the fabric meets the chemical-safety criteria of the Healthier Hospitals initiative, which restricts substances such as PVC, phthalates, DMF, and added fire retardants. Pebbled Aire meets all of these requirements.
Is the fabric suitable for aged care seating?
Yes. Pebbled Aire's anti-bacterial and anti-microbial properties, moisture barrier, 200,000+ double-rub abrasion rating, and Healthier Hospitals compliance make it appropriate for aged care seating and other healthcare furniture applications.
