PHONSTOP Ceiling and Wall Tiles
PHONSTOP Ceiling and Wall Tiles are direct-apply acoustic panels from Pinta Acoustics, produced from 100% recycled glass granules sintered into a rigid, lightweight, fibre-free absorber. They deliver an NRC of up to 0.90 and are suitable for both interior and exterior applications including high fire-safety environments.

Applications
Designed for LEED-accredited projects, education, corporate and government buildings, motorway and railway tunnels, noise barriers, indoor swimming pools and spas, plant rooms requiring high fire safety, cooling towers, vents, substations, and indoor and outdoor firing ranges. Adheres to concrete, masonry, and drywall substrates.
Standards and compliance
Class 1 (A) fire rating per ASTM E 84, with a flame spread index of 0 and smoke density of 0. Sound absorption tested per ASTM C423. Weather and moisture resistant for exterior applications. Compatible with LEED credit requirements.
Frequently asked questions
Is PHONSTOP suitable for outdoor use?
Yes. The material is weather and moisture resistant. For weather-exposed outdoor conditions, the PHONSTOP pt-13 Sealer must be applied after installation.
How are PHONSTOP tiles installed?
Tiles are glued directly to structurally sound walls and ceilings. The system uses a dedicated primer (pt-17), dry-mix adhesive (pa-81) applied with a 3/8" square-notched trowel, and an optional sealer (pt-13) for outdoor use.
What makes PHONSTOP different from foam acoustic tiles?
PHONSTOP is made from sintered recycled glass, not foam. This gives it a flame spread index of 0 and smoke density of 0, making it non-combustible and suitable for high fire-safety areas where foam products cannot be used.
