PT is a self-extinguishable polyurethane honeycomb foam acoustic panel from AMC Mecanocaucho, distributed in Australia by Getzner Vibration Solutions. It provides sound absorption and thermal insulation in a lightweight, open-cell honeycomb structure available in standard sheet form with an optional self-adhesive backing.

Frequently asked questions
Is PT suitable for fire-sensitive environments?
PT is self-extinguishable, meaning it resists sustained combustion once the ignition source is removed. For environments requiring a classified M1 fire rating, the PT Fire Resistant or PT Fire Absorber variants are recommended.
Can PT be cut to fit irregular surfaces?
Yes. The foam can be cut on site to the required size and fixed with adhesive or, in the self-adhesive A variants, peeled and pressed directly onto the substrate.
What acoustic performance does PT provide?
PT achieves a sound reduction index (Rw) of 8 dB across both the 30 mm and 50 mm thicknesses, measured to UNE-EN ISO 140-3.
