Applications
Designed for installations where a discreet low-frequency element is needed alongside slim K-Array line-array or column speakers. Suited to hotels, restaurants, bars, retail stores, museums, churches, conference rooms, and coastal or waterfront venues where corrosion resistance is required. At 32 ohm impedance, up to eight units can be driven from a single 4-ohm amplifier channel, making it practical for distributed systems. The Marine variant (KU26M) provides additional salt-corrosion protection for yachts and beach clubs.
Standards and compliance
IP64 rating: protected against dust ingress and water splashing from any direction. Enhanced protection to IP65 available with optional K-KUIP accessory.
Frequently asked questions
Does the KU26 require a dedicated amplifier?
Yes. The KU26 is a passive subwoofer and requires an external amplifier with the appropriate dedicated preset loaded. K-Array Kommander amplifiers include these presets for balanced integration with K-Array mid-high speakers.
Can multiple KU26 units share a single amplifier channel?
Yes. At the 32-ohm impedance setting, up to eight KU26 units can be connected to one 4-ohm amplifier channel.
Is the KU26 suitable for outdoor or marine use?
The standard KU26 carries an IP64 rating and is built from stainless steel. A Marine version (KU26M) adds enhanced anti-corrosion treatment for salt environments. Additional water protection is available via the K-KUIP accessory.
