SCH
The SCH is a rubber-metal anti-vibration mount made by AMC Mecanocaucho, designed for heavy-duty mobile machinery. It absorbs major dynamic loads and attenuates shock and high-frequency vibration, making it the preferred choice for engine and gearbox isolation in off-road and construction vehicles where movement control is required.
Specifications
- Load range: 40 kg to 800 kg per mount (depending on size and rubber hardness)
- Available sizes: SCH 35, SCH 50, SCH 65, SCH 90, SCH 125
- Rubber hardness options: 45, 50, 60, and 75 Shore A
- Tightening torque range: 20.5 Nm (SCH 35) to 880 Nm (SCH 125)
- Frame thickness (E): determines degree of pre-compression; varies by size
- Construction: two moulded parts, one fully moulded rubber disc and one rubber-bonded centre tube acting as bolt guide
- Installation: pre-compressed on machine frame via central anchoring bolt
Applications
Primarily used for engine, gearbox and operator cabin isolation on off-road construction equipment, public works vehicles, and agricultural machinery. Suitable wherever major dynamic loading, movement control, and attenuation of shock and high-frequency vibration are required.
Frequently asked questions
How does the SCH mount attach to the machine frame?
The mount installs pre-compressed directly onto the machine frame. The inner rubber-bonded centre tube guides the anchoring bolt, and the degree of pre-compression is set by the frame thickness E during installation.
Which size and hardness should I select?
Selection depends on the load per mount and the required attenuation. Five sizes cover loads from 40 kg to 800 kg, with rubber hardness options of 45, 50, 60 and 75 Shore A to match stiffness requirements.
Can the SCH handle both compression and shock loads?
Yes. The mount provides optimal stability together with attenuation of impact and high-frequency vibrations, making it suitable for applications with major dynamic loading.
