Sylodyn® NE
Sylodyn NE is a closed-cell polyurethane elastomer from Getzner Vibration Solutions, engineered for vibration isolation and acoustic decoupling in applications that demand high dynamic load capacity. Its non-absorbent closed-cell structure makes it particularly suited to railway track beds, structural building bearings, and impact noise isolation in floors and stairs.

Applications
Sylodyn NE is used for vibration isolation on local and inter-city railway lines, impact noise insulation in floors and on stairs, structural bearings for buildings, machine mounting, and acoustic decoupling between walls, floors, and ceilings. Its high dynamic load capacity and very low amplitude dependence suit installations where both heavy loads and consistent isolation performance are required.
Frequently asked questions
How does Sylodyn NE differ from Sylomer?
Sylodyn NE uses a closed-cell pore structure, which prevents water absorption. Compared to Sylomer, it offers improved dynamic properties, a higher stiffening factor range of 1.15 to 1.40, and is suited to higher static and dynamic load ranges, making it the preferred choice for demanding structural and railway applications.
What load peaks can Sylodyn NE handle?
Sylodyn NE can accommodate short-term load peaks of up to 6.0 N/mm2, with a dynamic load range of up to 1.20 N/mm2 and a static load range of up to 0.75 N/mm2.
What thicknesses and roll sizes are available?
Sylodyn NE is available in 12.5 mm and 25 mm thicknesses, supplied in rolls 1,500 mm wide by 5,000 mm long. Strips and custom punched or moulded parts are available on request.
