UPSTREAM (EBB & FLOW)
Upstream (EBB and FLOW) is a commercial modular carpet tile from Carpets Inter, part of the Upstream collection. Available in two colourways, EBB and FLOW, the tile uses a multi-level texture tufted construction in 100% solution dyed nylon on an EcoSoft recycled PET cushion back, in a plank format of 25x100 cm rated for heavy commercial use.

Applications
Suited to open-plan offices, hospitality areas, education facilities, and retail environments where a textured plank format creates visual movement. The plank tile supports directional, herringbone, and offset laying patterns. Carpets Inter positions the Upstream collection as part of their commitment to diverting plastic waste from waterways by using recycled PET in the backing.

EBB and FLOW are two colourways within the same Upstream tile. They share the same construction and backing but differ slightly in total weight: EBB is 2,820 g/m2 and FLOW is 2,793 g/m2. Both are available on EcoSoft recycled PET cushion back.
Does Upstream contribute to LEED certification?
Yes. Upstream tiles are NSF 140 Gold certified and can contribute to LEED v4 credits including Building Product Disclosure and Optimization for recycled content, health product declarations, and CRI Green Label Plus for low emitting materials.
What acoustic performance does Upstream provide?
Upstream on EcoSoft backing achieves an NRC of 0.3 or higher, tested to BS EN ISO 354. The recycled PET cushion back contributes to this sound absorption performance.
